THE NEXT GENERATION OF MUSICIANS

Madeline Tricarico

Notre Dame Academy

Area of Interest: Music

Parents: Angela and Don Tricarico

How did you get started with music?

I began music with the piano in second grade when my elementary school cut their music program. I then learned the ukulele, cello, clarinet, and the bass. I picked up the bass because the Notre Dame Academy (NDA) jazz band needed a bassist my freshman year and I fell in love with it!

What does your involvement with music look like now?

I have played the bass in Music Ministry, pit orchestras (for NDA and for St. Norbert College’s Next Stage musicals), pep band, jazz band and in the band for choir concerts. I love music because it brings people together and is a unifying force. With regard to the future, I plan on continuing to play bass for jazz bands.
