John Kuhn to receive Professional Achievement Award

The Rotary Club of De Pere announced that John Kuhn, a former member of the Green Bay Packers, has been selected to receive the Professional Achievement Award at the annual Lee Remmel Sports Awards Banquet.

Kuhn played nine season with the Packers and was a key member of teams that won Super Bowl XLV and five division titles. Since his retirement from football, he has continued to work for the Packers. In 2022, he moved to the broadcast booth as the color analyst for the team’s preseason games.

Kuhn joins LeRoy Butler, a member of the Packers Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, who was previously selected to receive the Distinguished Service Award at the 2022 banquet.

The awards will be presented on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Swan Club in De Pere. The public is invited to attend.

Additional recipients will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Lee Remmel Sports Awards banquet, established in 1998 by the De Pere Rotary Club with the approval, support and participation of Lee Remmel, serving at that time as the Green Bay Packers director of public relations.

Proceeds from the banquet are donated through the De Pere Rotary Club for scholarships to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, St. Norbert College and local high school students.
