Cole Van Lanen’s time playing with the team he grew up rooting for is over.

The Bay Port product was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a seventh-round pick on Aug. 24.

Van Lanen, a sixth-round pick in 2021, was a reserve offensive lineman for the Packers. He was activated for three games last season and appeared in one.

According to Pro Football Focus, Van Lanen played in 71 snaps during the Packers’ first two preseason games this season.

He was at left guard for 65 snaps and six at right tackle. He didn’t allow a pressure and has Green Bay’s highest overall grade in pass protection.

After graduating from Bay Port in 2016, Van Lanen played at Wisconsin.
