Brown County Fairgrounds brimming with sights and sounds of summer

DE PERE — The Brown County fairgrounds are again filled with the sounds of live music and thrilling carnival rides, the smells of popping kettle corn and food trucks and the sights of families and kids showing farm animals.

The fair kicked off Wednesday and will run through Sunday with plenty of fun to be had each day.
The fun begins at 10:30 a.m. today with family entertainment by Aussie Kingdom/CJ’s Animal Adventure Show, Nick’s Kids Show and Miller & Mike.

The carnival opens at noon.

Also on Friday there will be music from the Hanna Rose Trio and Johnny Wad with the PRCA Rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday will feature more performances by Aussie Kingdom/CJ’s Animal Adventure Show, Nick’s Kids Show and Miller & Mike.

There will be music on the midway stage from Broken Arrow in the afternoon and Driftwood will play in the evening with a tractor pull at 11:00 a.m. and another PRCA Rodeo at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday begins with 9 a.m. mass on the midway stage, Horse Gymkhana, Rooster Crowing Contest and Ag Olympics, all before 10:00 a.m.

Sunday afternoon features a horse pull, music by Poppa Bear Norton and a military appreciation ceremony.

After the final performances by Aussie Kingdom/CJ’s Animal Adventure and Miller & Mike, the fair closes at 6:00 p.m.

Admission to the fair is $14.00 for Friday and Saturday and $10.00 on Sunday.

Admission price includes entry into the fairgrounds, the rodeo, parking, unlimited carnival rides and all the other events.

Children age three and under are free, however if they want to ride the rides a wristband must be purchased for $5.00.

The Brown County Fairgrounds are located at 1500 Fort Howard Dr. in De Pere.
