Summer is in full swing in Green Bay this week

Walk Off Your Worries

Friday, July 8

Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Green Bay

The ADRC of Brown County is offering an opportunity to get exercise in a group setting through its new weekly walking club, Walk Off Your Worries, at 9 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the resource center.

Attendees meet at the ADRC on Adams Street and participate in a low-to-moderately-intense walk along the Fox River Trail in close proximity to the center.

The walk will last approximately 30 minutes.

The club, which is free to join, meets every Friday at 9 a.m.

Registration is required to notify participants of cancellations due to inclement weather.

The Song in Your Head

Friday, July 8

The Bar on Holmgren, Ashwaubenon

The Song in Your Head will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, July 8, on the patio at The Bar on Holmgren Way.

The acoustic duo performs an eclectic mix of both past and present songs with the combined sounds of acoustic guitar and piano aimed at creating a lounge-like vibe.

There is no cover charge for the performance.

Guests must be 21 years old to attend.

Knights On the Fox concert series

Tuesday, July 12

St. Norbert College, De Pere

Fire On High, a country and classic rock group, will kick off the 19th annual Knights On the Fox outdoor summer concert series at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at St. Norbert College.

Attendees are permitted to carry in food and beverages, which will also be available for purchase from Phil’s restaurant on campus.

Lawn chairs and blankets are suggested.

The concert is free to attend.

Knights On the Fox will be held every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. July 12 through Aug. 9.

Triple P Positive Parenting Stepping Stones seminar

Wednesday, July 13

Family & Childcare Resource of N.E.W, Green Bay.

Families of preadolescent children with disabilities have the opportunity to attend the Triple P Positive Parenting Stepping Stones seminar at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the Family & Childcare Resource of N.E.W.

The seminar provides techniques to parents on how to effectively manage childhood developmental and behavioral issues.

Childcare is available during the seminar.

‘Shrek the Musical’

Friday, July 14

Broadway Theatre, De Pere

Birder Players presents the opening night of Shrek the Musical at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Broadway Theatre in De Pere.

Nearly 30 members of the Greater Green Bay community will come together to take the Dreamworks animation film and turn it into an all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy.

The show will run July 14-24 (with the exception of July 18).

Tickets are $34, plus fees.
