DE PERE – For a second year in a row, the De Pere City Council unanimously awarded its legal notice contract to The Press Times at its Tuesday, June 7 City Council meeting, making it the official newspaper of the City of De Pere.

The legal notices that run in the back of The Press Times each week hold great importance to the municipalities and our readers, and being entrusted with them is not something we take lightly.

The Press Times has and will continue to cover the De Pere community – its people, places, events and ideas – just as it does with all Greater Green Bay communities whether or not they run legal notices with us – as we continue to strive at being the area’s only hyper-local publication focusing on local sports and news coverage.

This week’s paper features a handful of stories stemming from the City of De Pere both in the news and sports sections, including, consequently, two on the front page (in addition to this one).

Legal notices are required to be published under state statutes, however, local governmental bodies have a choice with who they choose to publish those notices with.

We thank the cities of De Pere, Green Bay and Seymour, the villages of Ashwaubenon, Howard, Suamico and Hobart and the school districts in Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Seymour, Howard-Suamico, De Pere and West De Pere for choosing The Press Times for theirs.
