GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Preble High School Athletic Department recently announced its 2021-22 senior athletic award winners.
Brigitta Neverman and Adrian Heinemeyer were named WIAA Scholar Athletes.
Each nominee must have earned at least four varsity letters through athletic participation in WIAA sanctioned sports and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
Brooke Hock and Reese Berg each received the American Legion Award.
Recipients must be in good standing academically and excel athletically.
Jake Petasek received the Bill Dessart Leadership Award.
The recipient must be a male athlete in good standing academically and display the characteristics of a good leader.
The Peter Hamel Most Valuable Female Athlete was awarded to Ava DeBaker, while Sam Hummel was awarded the John David Most Valuable Male Athlete.
This is the highest honor bestowed on a female/male athlete at Preble.
Recipients are recognized for their achievement, sportsmanship, character and leadership.
