‘Our Aquatic Planet’ opening reception

Artless Bastard, De Pere 

The opening reception of Alhaitham Jassar’s solo exhibit – “Our Aquatic Planet” – which highlights the underwater world that inhabits earth, is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Artless Bastard in De Pere.

Jassar’s art will be on display in the gallery until Saturday, June 11. 

The opening reception has no cover charge, though a cash bar will be available. 

Jassar will be in attendance to speak about his art.

Artless Bastard’s group show, “Floral & Botanicals,” will have its opening reception at the same time.

Heirloom Plant Sale 

May 12-14

STEM Center UWGB, Green Bay

The Northeast Master Gardeners Association will be planted at the STEM Center at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB) campus for its 22nd annual plant sale to help fund gardening projects in Brown County. 

The sale, which starts at noon and runs May 12-14, will include vegetables, perennial flowers and herbs, as well as seeds to plant.

Bends and Brews

Tuesday, May 17

Badger State Brewing, Green Bay 

Jenstar Movement Studio will be at Badger State Brewing at 6 p.m. May 17 for guided yoga with a local brew on the side. 

The 60-minute session at The Barrel Haus inside Badger State Brewery is $15, is for ages 21+ and includes one Badger State Beer.

Food-A-Fare

Thursday, May 19

Ashwaubomay Lake, Ashwaubenon. 

Food truck rally season kicks off at 4:30 p.m. May 19 at Ashwaubomay Lake.

A variety of food trucks – including The Dog House, The Dough Shoppe and Blue Suede Foods – along with live music to be featured at the outdoor festival.

The band ROCKER will perform classic rock hits starting at 5 p.m.

This will be the first of five Food-A-Fares during the summer season with an interchanging band and line of food trucks. 

The events are free to attend for all ages. 

Acoustic Endorphins and a welcome party

Thursday, May 19

Titletown Brewing Company, Green Bay 

Acoustic Endorphins, known for its acoustic covers of current music, nostalgic ’90s, classic rock and country jams, will perform at 6 p.m. May 19, at Titletown Brewing Company for the Northshore Bank Welcome Party.

The event is meant to connect members of the Green Bay community to one another. 

Samples from local restaurants will be at the event, as well as local vendors.

There is no cover charge to this event, and guests must be at least 21 to attend.
