Free comic books, an all ages show and some holistic healing and wellness

Holistic Healing and Wellness Fair

Saturday, May 7

Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley, Green Bay

Vendors will be at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley for the Holistic Healing and Wellness Fair starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7.

Vendors will discuss alternative healing methods and demonstrate holistic healing tactics that attendees are able to practice at home if desired.

Tickets start at $5.

Elmerglueskin and Superglue Band

Saturday, May 7

Rock N’ Roll Land, Green Bay

A rock show for all ages is happening at 2 p.m., May 7, at Rock N’ Roll Land, sponsored by the Lyric Room.

Two-member band Elmerglueskin will perform a set of rock tunes followed by Superglue Band and its alternative rock set.

Organizers said though the event is open to all ages, some songs do have explicit language.

Tickets start at $5.

Mother’s Day celebration

Sunday, May 8

Ahnapee Brewery, Suamico

Ahnapee Brewery is teaming up with 888 Cheese and Co. this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8.

Ahnapee’s Suamico location will offer catered food from 888 Cheese and a free pint glass with the purchase of a pint to all mothers this Sunday.

Ahnapee Brewery is open from noon to 6 p.m.

Trey Kennedy

Thursday, May 12

The Meyer Theatre, Green Bay

Standup comedian Trey Kennedy will perform his “Are You For Real?” tour at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Meyer Theatre.

Kennedy, best known for his social media presence on YouTube and TikTok, originally gained popularity on the former entertainment app, Vine.

The comedian is also an actor and a singer.

Tickets start at $39.

What it feels like to be me

Thursday, May 5

Art Garage, Green Bay

Collected works created by members of the homeless population in Green Bay that portray their everyday lives will be on display at The Art Garage for the month of May, during regular open hours.

The opening reception is at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 5.

Working with St. John’s Ministries, artists are able to share their creations with the public to raise awareness of homelessness in Green Bay.

There is no cover charge for this event.

Free comic book day

Saturday, May 7

Powers Comics, Green Bay

Author, comic book writer and comic book collector John Jackson Miller will speak at 9 a.m. Saturday May 7, at Powers Comics for free comic book day.

Free comics will be available to the public, along with 25% off other comics in the store.

Cookies from Busy Bee Custom Confections will be available as well.

This event is free to attend.
