Special visitor shares Olympic journey with students

PULASKI – Pulaski High School graduate (2010) and Olympian Deedra Irwin stopped by her old stomping grounds, visiting students at Glenbrook Elementary – her former grade school.

Irwin
Irwin shared her story of competing with the U.S. biathlon team and placing seventh in the women’s 15K biathlon in the February winter Olympics in China.
She finished 1.04.1 minutes behind gold medalist Denise Hermann of Germany, who finished with a time of 44:12.7.
It was the highest finish ever for a U.S. athlete in the biathlon.
