CP opens new daycare location

SUAMICO – CP Early Education & Care, located at 2320 Lineville Rd in Suamico, officially opened its doors Monday, April 4.

The new site offers childcare for children six weeks to eight years old, but Kristen Paquet, director of Donor Engagement and Marketing, said there is space to possibly expand services in the future.

“Our first priority is to get the daycare up and running, to be successful and meet a community need,” Paquet said.

She said as many others, CP Early Education & Care is looking for staff.

“So we are somewhat limited as to how many children we can enroll at the moment,” Paquet said. “But once our staffing levels increase, so will the number of children we can accept into the daycare, and we are getting calls about enrollment everyday, which is great news.”

She said CP Early Education & Care’s “high demand and waitlist” prompted the second location, which was “always part of our plans.”

“We chose Suamico after doing our research and coming to the conclusion that there was a need for childcare services in the area,” she said. “Finding a space that worked for us was a factor in determining the location as well. We were originally supposed to open the summer of 2020, but you can guess what happened there. So, while plans were delayed, they were never canceled, and here we are today.”
