Green Bay women to host Minnesota in WNIT

GREEN BAY – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women’s basketball team will host Minnesota at the Kress Events Center in the WNIT (Women’s National Invitational Tournament) opening round at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17.

Green Bay is making its sixth WNIT appearance all-time, with Thursday’s game marking the second time the Phoenix has hosted.

Green Bay and Minnesota squared off in the first round in 2014, with Minnesota coming out on top, 62-60.

The Phoenix are 6-8 all-time against the Golden Gophers.

General admission tickets ($10 each) will go on sale on Tuesday, March 15, at noon.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online or by calling the Phoenix Ticket Office at 920-465-2625.
