WIAA boys’ basketball postseason brackets released

BROWN COUNTY – Several area boys’ basketball teams recently learned their seeding for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) postseason.

Regional play begins Tuesday, March 1, while sectionals begin Thursday, March 10.

The state tournament is Thursday-Saturday, March 17-19, at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Locally, in Division 2, Notre Dame Academy earned a No. 1 seed and hosts the winner of No. 8 Pulaski/No. 9 Green Bay West Friday, March 4.

Other area Division 2 teams are Ashwaubenon (2), West De Pere (3), Seymour (5) and Green Bay Southwest (10).

In Division 1, De Pere earned a No. 2 seed and hosts No. 15 Hartford March 4.

In other March 4 games, No. 5 Green Bay East hosts No. 12 Milwaukee Riverside University, No. 9 Bay Port travels to No. 8 Kaukauna and No. 13 Green Bay Preble travels to No. 4 Milwaukee King.

In Division 5, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran earned a No. 6 seed and hosts No. 11 Eastbrook Academy March 1.
