BROWN COUNTY – Several area girls’ basketball teams learned their seeding for the upcoming Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association postseason.
Regional play begins Tuesday, Feb. 22, while sectionals begin Thursday, March 3.
The state tournament is Thursday-Saturday, March 10-12, at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
Locally, in Division 2, Notre Dame Academy, the defending state champs, earned a No. 1 seed and hosts the winner of No. 8 Luxemburg-Casco/No. 9 Pulaski Friday, Feb. 25.
Other area Division 2 teams are West De Pere (2), Ashwaubenon (5), Green Bay Southwest (6) and Seymour (7).
In Division 1, De Pere earned a No. 3 seed and hosts No. 14 Sheboygan South Feb. 25.
In other Feb. 25 games, No. 8 Bay Port hosts No. 9 Hartford Union, and No. 13 Green Bay Preble travels to No. 4 Milwaukee King.
No. 17 Green Bay East travels to No. 16 Milwaukee Marshall/Young Coggs Feb. 22.
In Division 5, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran earned a No. 13 seed and travels to No. 4 Sheboygan Lutheran Feb. 22.
