Alderperson Ruh dishonored her oath

Kelly Ruh is a De Pere alderperson running for reelection.

She’s also one of the people who submitted fake electoral paperwork, asserting falsely that Donald Trump won the Wisconsin election.

As a result, Ruh is under subpoena by the Jan. 6 Select Committee.

Ruh is a fraudulent elector for the Nov. 3, 2020 election.

She and others met at the Capitol on Dec. 14 to draft false elector paperwork while Wisconsin’s real members of the Electoral College gathered in the State Capitol at the same time to deliver the state’s 10 electoral votes to (Joe) Biden.

These fake electors signed official-looking documents stating Trump had won, even though the State Supreme Court had ruled an hour earlier that Biden was the victor.

They sent the material to the U.S. Senate, the National Archives, Wisconsin Secretary of State Doug La Follette and a federal judge.

Ruh didn’t — as people in other states did — sign paperwork that would be valid in the event that a recount showed Donald Trump had won in Wisconsin.

No.

She asserted fraudulently that Trump had more votes.

Ruh dishonored her oath as an alderperson.

She dishonored her various public positions, and she has brought shame to Wisconsin.

And now she — with her group of fake electors — is under investigation by the United States Department of Justic.

Ruh is not the sort of person we want in public office.

We need someone who will serve all of us, someone who is scrupulously honest and honorable. Ruh does not meet those criteria.
