Increased burglaries

The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department said there has recently been an increase in storage unit burglaries throughout Brown County recently.

The department suggested these tips to securing property:

• Use a good lock. Spend the extra money for a high-quality lock – the circular-style, hidden shackle locks are more tamper-proof.

• Remove batteries and keys from store vehicles.

• Secure a trail camera inside storage units.
