Time change for Green Bay men’s basketball

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay-Oakland men’s basketball game Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Resch Center has been moved to the Kress Center, with tip-off at noon.

The university decided to move the time of the game because the Packers host the San Francisco 49ers that night at Lambeau Field at 7:15 p.m.

Before the game against the Golden Grizzlies, the Phoenix hosts Detroit Mercy Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Resch Center at 7 p.m.

It will be the first time Green Bay will play either team this season, with its previous matchups canceled due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The Titans have lost back-to-back games at Purdue Fort Wayne (PFW) and Cleveland State University (CSU).

Meanwhile, Oakland took care of business at PFW and CSU and paces the Horizon League with a 7-0 Horizon League record.

McGee Freshman of the Week

The Horizon League announced Kamari McGee was named the conference’s Freshman of the Week for the second straight week after strong performances against IUPUI and UIC.

In the two games against the Jaguars and Flames, McGee averaged 17.5 points and two assists per game.

Against UIC Saturday, McGee played all 40 minutes and posted a career-high 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting to go along with three rebounds.

The Racine native has scored 20-plus points in two of his last three games.
