Phoenix women’s basketball game Thursday against Detroit Mercy canceled

GREEN BAY – The UW-Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball game scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Kress Events Center against Detroit Mercy has been canceled.

The Horizon League game won’t be played due to health and safety protocols within the Detroit Mercy program.

The league has yet to announce a decision on the games being declared a no-contest or a forfeit.

Fans who purchased single-game tickets for this game can be refunded.

Season ticket holders have the option to exchange their tickets for a future regular-season game this season or can be refunded upon request.

Fans who requested a refund for the Chicago State cancellation will automatically be added to our refund list for this cancellation as well.

Ticket holders who don’t request an exchange or refund for this game will have the value of their tickets go to support Phoenix Athletics.

The Phoenix are scheduled to resume play Saturday, Jan. 1, when they host Oakland at the Kress Center.

Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
