Digging into truth with Common CAHSS

Monday, Nov. 29

Weidner Center, Green Bay

UW-Green Bay’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) premieres its third annual Common CAHSS Conference.

Within the last few years, the line between truth and misinformation has blurred.

This year’s Common CAHSS conference aims to dig into a higher educational institution’s responsibility in supporting the constant search for truth.

Heightened political and informational tensions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic caused conspiracy theories, fake news and unsupported claims to plague verified and vetted news.

Continual misinformation causes topics such as discrimination, climate change and more to be questioned on their validity.

The conference spans Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 with a multitude of different presentations starting at 10:35 am.

The event is free. For more information, head to www.uwgb.edu/common-cahss.
