Ashwaubenon girls’ swimming takes sixth at state

WAUKESHA – The Ashwaubenon girls’ swimming team finished sixth at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 Meet Nov. 13 at Waukesha South High School.

The Jaguars’ 135 points were well behind champion Edgewood’s 394 points.

Top individual results for Ashwaubenon included Sienna Nitke in the 50- (second – 23.98) and 100-yard freestyle (third – 51.97) and Bry Bellile in the 100 (second – 51.28) and 200 freestyle (fourth – 1:51.32).

Two of Ashwaubenon’s relay teams also finished second.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Bellile, Liz Witt, Erin Schuch and Nitke finished in 1:37.81, while the 400 freestyle relay team of Nitke, Witt, Schuch and Bellile finished in 3:32.53.
