BROWN COUNTY – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association recently released the postseason softball brackets.
Regional play begins Wednesday, June 9.
Regional semifinal games are Monday, June 14, followed by regional final games Wednesday, June 16.
Sectionals will begin Monday, June 21.
Locally, Green Bay Preble, The No. 1-ranked Division 1 team in the state, earned a No. 1 seed and received an opening-round bye.
The Hornets play the winner of No. 4 Ashwaubenon/No. 5 De Pere.
In other Division 1 games, No. 3 Pulaski hosts No. 6 Green Bay Southwest, No. 2 Bay Port hosts No. 7 Green East/West and No. 5 West De Pere travels to No. 4 Appleton East.
In Division 2, No. 9 Notre Dame Academy traveled to No. 8 Clintonville, while No. 5 Seymour travels to No. 4 Marinette.
In Division 5, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran travels to No. 1 Laona/Wabeno.
The state tournament is Monday-Wednesday, June 28-30, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Bay Port High School.
