Luke Schroeder is a wide receiver on the Ashwaubenon football team.

Talk about playing football at Ashwaubenon.

“It’s been great. I’ve been able to create strong friendships with my teammates at practice.”

Talk about how your father, NFL alumnus Bill Schroeder, has helped you become a better player.

“My dad and I work out together at least twice a week. With him being my coach since the second grade, he’s helped shape me into the player I am and prepared me for college football.”

What’s the hardest class you’ve taken at Ashwaubenon?

“I’m currently taking AP (Advanced Placement) BC Calculus. It’s lots of work, but it’s an interesting topic.”

What’s your most embarrassing football moment?

“My sophomore year vs. Bay Port, I caught an out route and got laid out on the sideline. When I got up, I had no idea where I was or what I was doing.”

Do you prefer grass or turf?

“Turf because it’s better kept, and it’s easier to cut on the field.”

What’s the hardest part about dealing with a loss?

“I don’t like losses because we have team meetings Saturday mornings. It’s not fun watching a film after a loss.”

What’s the craziest NFL game you’ve seen?

“The New England Patriots’ comeback in Super Bowl LI was a great comeback. Even though I was cheering for the Atlanta Falcons, it was still a good game to watch.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?

“I’d be Elon Musk and give myself a bunch of Tesla shares.”

Favorite thing about Lambeau Field?

“It’s close to my house, so I get to admire it often.”

What’s a weekend out of season like for you?

“I work out, catch up on homework and hang out with friends.”

What are your college aspirations?

“I’m playing college football for Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and studying mechanical engineering.”

What’s your favorite activity (besides football) in physical education class?

“I enjoy playing basketball with my friends.”

A cruise or flying to a destination?

“I’ve always wanted to fly to Hawaii.”

Thoughts on this year’s Super Bowl?

“It was a decent game, but I wanted the Kansas City Chiefs to win.”

What three words describe you?

“Intelligent, athletic, funny.”

What’s your favorite music genre?

“Country.”

What’s one thing you feel should be changed to football gear to keep you safe?

“I don’t think anything should be changed, but I wish they’d allow players to wear whatever they wanted.”

Who’s your favorite NFL player?

“Cortland Sutton from the Denver Broncos – he’s underrated.”

What’s your favorite in-season activity to do with friends?

“Going out to eat after games.”

What other sport could you have excelled at?

“I hit my growth spurt my sophomore year, so I think I would be good at basketball if I focused on it.”

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

“Having a successful career and a family of my own.”
