BROWN COUNTY – Week 5 of the alternate fall football season brought teams to near the end of their season, with two games remaining.

Ashwaubenon loses another

After picking up its first win the week before, the Jaguars (1-4) lost a 36-14 road game to Appleton East.

Red Devils scorched

Green Bay East (1-4) lost a 57-7 home game to Sheboygan South.

Preble stung at home

The Hornets (1-4) lost a 31-7 home game to Stevens Point.

The Panthers lead 31-0 early in the fourth quarter before quarterback Evan Holm hit Connor Shefchik with a 47-yard touchdown pass for Preble’s only score.

Holm was intercepted three times.

Trojans lose after COVID-19 break

Green Bay Southwest (0-5) came back after missing two games because of COVID-19 issues and lost a 42-0 contest to Oshkosh West at home.

Wolfram clutch for Notre Dame

Senior kicker Aiden Wolfram hit a game-winning field goal in overtime to help the Tritons (5-0) beat Eau Claire Memorial on the road, 24-21.

It was Wolfram’s second game-winner this season.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran wins on road

The Blazers (3-2) won a 31-20 road game vs. Gibraltar in 8-man action.

Editor’s notes: The Pulaski and Green Bay West game was canceled because West didn’t have enough players. 

According to West coach Skyler Leizbet, the Wildcats have decided to forgo the rest of the season.
