By Press Times Staff

ASHWAUBENON – EPIC Event Center announced it will open to the public for its first concert Thursday, April 15, with a performance by Otherwise.

Supporting local acts will be Krestfall and Archaic Bloom.

EPIC Event Center will open with limited capacity in a podded format, which will allow groups of up to six to be seated together.

All pods will be spaced 6 feet apart.

EPIC Event Center will also perform temperature checks upon entry and ask that masks to be worn whenever outside of the assigned pod.

“We are excited to be able to provide live entertainment in a safe manner at this incredible new facility,” said Melissa Toonen, general manager of EPIC Event Center. “Various sporting and entertainment venues in the area have demonstrated that with the right protocols, we can successfully bring smaller scale events to the community. We have a great lineup coming to EPIC Event Center that will bring sensational talent to the area spanning many different genres.”

EPIC Event Center is a 2,100-capacity live entertainment venue at 2351 Holmgren Way, located in the former Gordmans department store building.

It will host live music of various genres, including country, pop and rock, along with comedy performers.

Initially, the venue will operate at approximately 25 percent capacity.

This year’s EPIC Event Center schedule includes:

• April 15 – Otherwise with Krestfall and Archaic Bloom.

• May 7 – Murray the Magician, as seen on “Pawn Stars.”

• May 8 – Badflower with Goodbye June (outdoor event at Capital Credit Union Park).

• May 21 – Smith & Myers of Shinedown with JR Moore and Zach Mack.

• Oct. 9 – The Glam Band, celebrating 15 years.

• Nov. 20 – Puddle of Mudd.

“This is just the beginning,” Toonen said. “We are going to bring premier entertainment to this state-of-the-art facility and combine it with outstanding people and service. It’s going to be epic.”
