What are the pros/cons of playing tight end on the football team and center on the basketball team?

“For football, I can catch passes from my quarterback, Cadian Vang, but then we have to attend the film session the next morning for a swimming workout. For basketball, I could play with my friends on the court because we all got along well. I didn’t like running the sprints in practice because Coach (Mark) Tomashek wanted us to be conditioned.”

What teammate would you like to be with trapped on a deserted island in the middle of the Indian Ocean?

“Hunter Hucek because he’s smart and can think outside of the box.”

What’s your most embarrassing basketball moment?

“When I went for a fast break dunk a little early because the opposing student section was tricking me by counting down the time early.”

Amazon Prime or Netflix?

Netflix because many of my favorite shows – Outer Banks, On My Block and Stranger Things – are on there.”

Completing a hard math assignment or working on a science project?

“Working on a science project because I understand science, and I’m better at it.”

Mashed potatoes or stuffing?

“Stove Top stuffing.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?

“Teammate Brady Wittig because he’s the smartest person I know and everyone likes him, too. I wouldn’t want to be a celebrity.”

Favorite picture at your house?

“My big sister going to the first grade on her first day of school. I’m next to her crying my eyes out because I didn’t want her to leave while she was perfectly fine.”

What’s something about you most people don’t know?

“I have a shoe room in my house.”

Talk about your family’s influence on you.

“My parents have had a huge influence on me. When they grew up, they didn’t have lots of money or parents who were there for them. They always try to do their best for me so I can have a better life than they did.”

What are your college aspirations?

“Growing as an individual and living on my own. Also, creating new friendships and getting a degree.”

Cereal or toast?

“Cereal – Cinnamon Toast Crunch.”

What five words describe you?

“Goofy, unique, diligent, friendly, hardworking.”

Where would you want to attend the Super Bowl?

“Las Vegas because they recently built their new stadium, and it’s warm.”

Utah for rock climbing or Miami at the beach?

“Rock climbing in Utah because I’ve never rock climbed before. It would be something I’d want to try.”

Working out at a gym or in your basement?

“In the basement because I like to be by myself when lifting.”

If you didn’t play basketball or football, what other sport would you have considered?

“Cross country because I can run long distances.”

On a weekday morning in the summer, I can be found …

“Sleeping or going to the beach with my friends.”

Headphones or AirPods?

“AirPods because they’re better quality.”
