As a sophomore, he played No. 3 doubles on the tennis team, which finished second at subsectionals.

Steinhoff is also a member of the soccer team, which will take to the field in March for the alternate spring season.

Talk about swimming at state as a junior.

“It was amazing – to swim at state was one of the goals I set as a freshman. I’m proud I accomplished the feat.”

What’s it like to be a senior leader?

“It’s a great responsibility. I like to lift the whole team up together, and I’m not afraid to get loud and make sure the guys are ready for every meet and practice.”

What’s your most embarrassing tennis moment?

“During a match my sophomore year in Manitowoc. The courts were wet because of rain, and I overstretched for a ball and went down hard.”

What’s a pet peeve you have in soccer?

“When people limit themselves to what they think they can do. This is why I always push myself to the brink.”

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

“My friends and family. We’ve shared many special moments, and I wouldn’t give it up for anything.”

What’s your most memorable moment?

“When everyone gets together at Christmas. It’s always a show, and we make good memories.”

What’s your most valued possession?

“My headphones/earbuds. I listen to music often and always try to listen to something new.”

Ireland or Greece?

“Greece is beautiful, but Ireland is where my family is from. I would love to visit one day to see the scenery and experience the culture.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?

“Caeleb Dressel – he’s an amazing swimmer.”

Talk about a teacher you admire.

“Math teacher Mr. Hill. He manages to get sophomores through advanced placement (AP) statistics and seniors through AP calculus every year. These are some of the hardest classes I’ve ever taken.”

What are your college aspirations?

“I hope to study actuarial science at either St. John’s University in Queens, New York, or Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.”

If your life was made into a movie, what actor would play you?

“Adam Driver. He’s a great actor and has an amazing life story.”

Fruits or vegetables?

“Vegetables.”

Favorite pool to swim in?

“The Ashwaubenon Community Pool – it’s one of the best in the state.”

What’s a favorite childhood memory?

“Vacationing with my family. We’ve gone on trips to California, Florida and South Dakota.”

Favorite slang phrase when texting?

“SMH – shaking my head.”

Talk about a sibling and how he/she has inspired you.

“My brother inspires me every day. He’s a Marine and has an amazing work ethic.”
