STEVENS POINT – At its Jan. 15 meeting, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association revised the 2021 boys’ and girls’ basketball tournament series divisional placements and assignments.

The revisions are in response to the number of programs that have declared they’ll not be participating in the tournament series this season.

For the girls, Bay Port, De Pere, Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest and Pulaski will compete in Division 1, while Ashwaubenon, Green Bay West, Notre Dame Academy, Seymour and West De Pere will compete in Division 2.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran will compete in Division 5.

For the boys, Bay Port, De Pere, East, Preble, Southwest, Pulaski and West De Pere will compete in Division 1, while Ashwaubenon, Notre Dame, Seymour and West will compete in Division 2.

N.E.W. Lutheran will be in Division 5.

Travis Wilson, a writer at wissports.net, reported the WIAA has indicated each division will be played at a separate location, with state semifinal and final games to be played on the same day.

The revised divisional assignments and placements can be found on the WIAA website at wiaawi.org or by CLICKING HERE.
