ASHWAUBENON — Cooper Herr, Jackson Hodek and Nick Messamore each won two individual events Dec. 15, as the Ashwaubenon boys’ swimming and diving team defeated Pulaski 100-77.
The Fox River Classic Conference dual was held at the Ashwaubenon Community Pool.
Herr was victorious in the 50- and 500-yard freestyle races, while Hodek won the 100 butterfly and blew away the competition in the 100 backstroke by 15 seconds.
“Jackson went out with a moderate pace and brought it back fast to get a good time,” said Jason Martin, Ashwaubenon head coach. “He talked about how tired his legs were, and he gave a great effort in that race.”
Messamore captured the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, as the Jaguars improved to 3-0 in dual meets.
“I thought a few guys stepped up today,” Martin said. “We had Cooper race in the 500, which is not normally a race he goes in and came out on the winning side by a couple of seconds.”
Pulaski started the meet by picking up 10 points with their two divers, Mason Trinh and Logan Roberts.
“The diving portion of the event has always been a big part of the Red Raiders’ tradition,” said Nick Haydon, Pulaski head coach. “I thought the swim part of the meet went well. We have lots of the season ahead of us.”
