Trick or treat times for the area

By Press Times Staff

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Times have been set for the area trick-or-treating and, with a couple of exceptions, they look a lot like any other year in spite of the recent spike in Wisconsin’s COVID-19 numbers.

“Definitely wear your masks,” said Kimberly Hess from the Center For Childhood Safety in Ashwaubenon. “Avoid decorating your face mask and, try to wear a costume that doesn’t include a mask so you’re not wearing two over your face. And, if you’re going to be the one handing out candy, we recommend you put it out in a bowl. Don’t be opening the door to distribute it.”

Matthew Hahn, recreation coordinator for the Village of Allouez, said the village is still participating in door-to-door candy pillaging and that homes distributing candy at the door will, as usual, have their porch lights on Halloween evening.

Both De Pere and Green Bay are encouraging citizens not to trick or treat this year with the rise in COVID-19 numbers, but still provided times for those who want to participate.
