ROCKFORD – Green Bay Booyah pitcher Jack Mahoney pitched five innings and struck out five in the team’s 12-0 win July 19 over Rockford.

Mahoney was dominant from the start, throwing first pitch strikes to the first seven batters he faced in picking up his first win of the season.

Eric Torres and Jacob Paulishak combined out of the bullpen for the last four innings of the game.

Torres gave up one hit, and Paulishak struck out three in his two innings of relief.

Nick Kreutzer went 2-for-3 at the plate with his second home run of the year, and scored three runs.

Bo Majkowski finished 2-for-5, ripping a double and also scoring three times.

His Clemson teammate – and Green Bay Preble graduate – Max Wagner went 2-for-4, driving in two runs and scoring three times.

In the eight spot, Ethan Payne blasted his second home run of the season.

Green Bay improved to 9-10 overall, and sits one game back of Rockford for first place in the Wisconsin-Illinois East pod.

The Booyah will send Harrison Cook to the mound for his third start of the year, on Monday, July 20, in Rockford.

First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.

Green Bay has its first off day of the season July 21.
