Booyah win rain-shortened game

ASHWAUBENON – The Green Bay Booyah defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in a rain-shortened game July 9.

Behind four RBI from Stephen Hrustich, the Booyah won 10-8 in seven innings to improve to 4-5 on the season.

Green Bay’s Matt McDonald picked up his first RBI of the year in the second inning on a single to plate Alec Burns, and Cam Tilly brought home Andy Blake to tie the score.

The scoring went back and forth for the next few innings, with the game eventually being tied at eight entering the bottom of the sixth.

Hrustich, who finished the day 2-for-3, homered down the right-field line to put Green Bay up for good at 10-8.

The home run was Hrustich’s second in as many days.

In total, Green Bay picked up 10 hits, including a 3-for-4 day by Andy Blake.

Nadir Lewis also added a home run to lead off the third inning, his first of the season.

On the mound, Chandler Ingram earned the victory after going two innings and giving up no earned runs.

He improved to 1-1 on the season, striking out three Dock Spiders.

The two teams meet again July 10 at 6:35 in Fond du Lac, with Garrett Martin toeing the rubber for the second time this season for the Booyah.
