BROWN COUNTY – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association recently released the brackets for the upcoming postseason girls’ basketball tournament.
Regional play begins Tuesday, Feb. 25, with sectionals commencing Thursday, March 5.
Sectional final games are Saturday, March 7, at predetermined locations.
The state tournament is March 12-14 at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
Locally, Bay Port and Notre Dame Academy received No. 1 seeds in their respective divisions.
In Division 1 games Feb. 28, Bay Port will host the winner of No. 16 D.C. Everest/No. 17 Green Bay East, No. 12 De Pere will travel to No. 5 Stevens Point and No. 3 Green Bay Preble will entertain No. 14 Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.
In Division 2 games Feb. 28, Notre Dame will play the winner of No. 8 Fox Valley Lutheran/No. 9 Seymour, No. 2 Pulaski will host the winner of No. 7 Menasha/No. 10 Green Bay West, No. 3 Green Bay Southwest will entertain the winner of No. 6 Ashwaubenon/No. 11 Marinette and No. 4 West De Pere will host the winner of No. 5 Kaukauna/No. 12 Luxemburg-Casco.
Ashwaubenon will entertain Marinette in the regional opener Feb. 25.
In Division 5, No. 7 Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran will host No. 10 Sheboygan Christian Feb. 25.
