Permit approved for VetIQ to locate in Meijer store

By Press Times Staff

HOWARD – The village board approved a conditional use permit Monday, Sept. 23, for a veterinary clinic to locate in the Meijer store at 2015 Shawano Ave.

The permit, which was unanimously recommended a week earlier by the Plan Commission, will allow VetIQ to locate in one of the store’s retail spaces to provide dogs and cats with vaccines, minor illness assistance, prescriptions, nail trimming and microchipping.

No overnight stays, boarding or major surgeries will be included among the veterinary services at the clinic.

Previously, the Plan Commission approved a site plan for Meijer for the installation and operation of eight Tesla EV Supercharger stations and associated support equipment.

There are retail spaces in the store that can be built out for businesses such as VetIQ, Bellin and Great Clips.
