Week seven area football recaps

BROWN COUNTY – Week seven saw all Green Bay area high school football teams in action.

There are two weeks remaining in the regular season.

Bay Port dominates Ashwaubenon: In a battle of undefeated teams, Bay Port (7-0 overall, 7-0 Fox River Classic Conference) dominated Ashwaubenon, 55-0.

The Pirates held the Jags (6-1, 6-1 FRCC) to 34 yards of total offense.

Isaiah Gash, who led Bay Port with 128 yards rushing, scored three touchdowns.

Navy recruit Max Meeuwsen led the Pirates on defense with three sacks.

De Pere keeps playoff hopes alive: The Redbirds (3-4, 3-4 FRCC) escaped with a 19-14 road win over Manitowoc Lincoln (2-5, 2-5 FRCC).

Adam Timbrook rushed for 71 yards and two scores.

Mulu Joyce added a 29-yard field goal, and the defense recorded a safety.

Payton VanLaarhoven caught four balls for 95 yards.

De Pere would have to win its last two games to guarantee a spot in the WIAA playoffs.

The Redbirds travel to Sheboygan North and end the season by hosting Ashwaubenon.

Green Bay East drops road game: The Red Devils (1-6, 1-6 Bay Conference) lost 55-6 to Waupaca (1-6, 1-5 Bay).

East trailed by the final margin of victory at halftime.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran/Oneida shutout: The United (2-5, 2-4 MONLPC-8) failed to score in a 48-0 loss to Wausaukee (1-6, 1-5 MONLPC-8).

Green Bay Preble doubles up Notre Dame Academy: The Hornets (4-3, 4-3 FRCC) eliminated the Tritons (1-6, 1-6 FRCC) from the postseason with a 28-14 win.

Losing streak continues for Green Bay West: The Wildcats (0-7, 0-6 Bay) lost their 35th consecutive game overall with a 48-13 loss to Menasha (6-1, 5-1 Bay).

West jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a 50-yard pass from Jack Hemery to Damion Henrichs.

Hemery scored the other touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Pulaski mauls Green Bay Southwest: The Red Raiders (7-0, 7-0 FRCC) remained unbeaten with a 33-0 win over the Trojans (2-5, 2-5 FRCC).

Pulaski rushed 47 times for 311 yards.

JoJo O’Leary had two touchdowns.

Ben Redlin, who led the team with 99 yards rushing, and Aaron Maroszek each added a score.

West De Pere remains unbeaten: The Phantoms (7-0, 7-0 Bay) thumped Seymour (3-4, 3-3 Bay), 49-0.

Sam Mommaerts ran the ball 12 times for 179 yards with four touchdowns.
