Bay Port girls’ golf wins back-to-back FRCC titles

GREENLEAF – The Bay Port girls’ golf team won its second consecutive Fox River Classic Conference title at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf Sept. 27.

The Pirates’ 333 team total beat Notre Dame Academy (340) by seven strokes.

De Pere (350), Sheboygan (351), Green Bay Preble (357), Pulaski (385) and Ashwaubenon (417) rounded out the field.

Wander Springs is a par-72 course.

Bay Port’s Jo Baranczyk and Avery Dudra went one-two with 77s, while Preble’s Emma Onesti and Notre Dame Academy’s Grace Durkin tied for third with 83s.

For her efforts throughout the season, Baranczyk, the 2018 WIAA Division 1 individual state champion, earned FRCC Player of the Year honors.
