Pulaski swimming and diving teams take second at invite

PLYMOUTH – The Pulaski High School girls’ swimming and diving teams took second overall at the Plymouth Invitational Sept. 28.

The Red Raiders’ 420 points were only behind Oregon High School’s 468 in the eight-team invite.

The lone event winner for Pulaski was Rachel Stumpf in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:21.19.

Second-place finishers were Taya Schmidt in the 1-meter diving competition (326.65), Stumpf in the 100 backstroke (1:05.72) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Stumpf, Sam Van Donsel, Grace Behnke and Heidi Jurankova (3:57.89).

Third-place finishers were the 200 medley relay team of Stumpf, Van Donsel, Behnke and Schmidt (2:04.62), Schmidt in the 50 freestyle (27.32), Behnke in the 100 backstroke and Van Donsel in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.25).
