Bay Port girls’ swimming finishes third at invite

WHITEFISH BAY – The Bay Port girls’ swimming team had a successful start to its season Sept. 7.

Led by double winner Emma Lasecki, the Pirates placed third as a team behind Cedarburg and Muskego.

The senior Lasecki won the 200 individual medley (2:08.15) and 100 butterfly (57.57).

Other top-three placings for Bay Port were the 200 medley relay team of Liz Ely, Sydney Aird, Lasecki and Lacy Geurts (second – 1:53.49), Emily Calaway in the 200 freestyle (third – 2:03.80) and 500 freestyle (third – 5:22.90), Geurts in the 50 freestyle (second – 25.87), Aird in the 100 breaststroke (third – 1:09.46) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Adie Tooley, Calaway, Geurts and Lasecki (third – 3:46.51).
