Name: Cooper Morrison

Position: Outfielder

Hometown: Richmond, CA

High School: Albany

College: UC Davis

Morrison finished the Booyah season with a .326 batting average in 47 games. He had 23 runs, 15 RBI’s and closed with a hit in the finale versus Wisconsin.

Earliest baseball memory: “Playing catch with my Dad around the age of 2. I have it on video to prove it. It’s pretty sweet.”

Most memorable baseball moment: “I don’t feel like I’ve had one yet. I’m anticipating it to happen though in my final year and moving forward.”

Most embarrassing baseball moment: “It’s baseball and you look pretty dumb out here sometimes in between pitches. I can’t pinpoint one in particular but I’m sure my teammates would tell you one.“

Strengths as a player: “I run well, am a good teammate and play hard every inning.”

What is it like living in Green Bay and playing in the new Capital Credit Union Stadium: “It’s awesome. It’s a great place to be in summer for the weather, and I have a tremendous support system with my host family being that far from home.”

Best advice someone has given you? “Have a short memory. You can be on top of the world one day and then the next day the game shuts you down just like that. You have to stay positive because as a hitter you will most likely have more outs than hits.”

Favorite MLB team: “The Seattle Mariners. I grew up in Washington as a kid. It’s been a struggle for awhile now. They had great runs when I was very little but haven’t made the postseason unfortunately in like 18 years.”

Future plans: “I want to graduate and then see where the game of baseball will take me after college.”
