ALLOUEZ – The Village of Allouez Department of Public Works Committee said goodbye to one long-standing member and hello to a new addition to the team.

During the Allouez Village Board meeting on August 6, Village President Jim Rafter took a few moments to thank Rick King, who served as a Public Works Committee member since Aug. 19, 2014.

Rafter honored King with a Resolution and Certificate of Recognition for his service to the community.

“He has been serving our community for many years in many different capacities,” said Rafter. “We wish him well and thank him very much.”

To fill King’s committee spot, Rafter nominated Dr. Ted Collison, who has been a resident of Allouez for nine years.

Rafter said Collison has a medical background as a trauma surgeon, but has moved into a hospital leadership role recently.

“He would like very much to give back to our community,” said Rafter. “And he seems very excited to participate.”

Rafter then made a motion to approve the nomination for Collison to become the newest member of the Department of Public Works Committee.

The motion passed unanimously.
