North Overland Road project to begin Monday

By Press Times Staff

HOBART – North Overland Road between Hickory Drive and Woodfield Prairie Way will be closed to traffic from Aug. 5-24 for repaving of the asphalt surface.

A detour will be set in place for all traffic, which will start at Trout Creek and Centennial Centre Boulevard. Access will only be available to local traffic, garbage and emergency vehicles.

Residents within the construction zone will have access to their homes. However, patience will be required for periodic delays and road blockage in the construction zone with paving equipment.

This is the project’s second phase following the recent curb and gutter installation along this route. The current asphalt surface, which was originally installed in 1998, will be pulverized and graded in place to improve the sub grade for a new 3-inch asphalt surface. The new road surface will be the same width as the existing roadway.

Anyone with questions or concerns regarding this project can contact the Public Works Department at (920) 869-3807 or [email protected].
