When did your interest in dance begin?

“As a little girl, I loved going to the football games to watch the dance team, but once I quit gymnastics right before high school, I decided it would be fun to try out for the team.”

What was your most embarrassing moment ever in dance?

“State of 2018. Within the first five seconds, my foot slipped out from underneath me while walking to the next formation and I fell for what felt like an eternity and totally missed my next trick in the dance.”

How many years were you involved in dance?

“4 years.”

Favorite Animal?

“Dog.”

What is your most memorable moment?

“As a team, we got to travel to Florida for nationals. I had the best time walking around Disneyland with the three other seniors and just enjoying our last moments on the team together.”

What goals did you reach during the entire season?

“Now that our season has finished up, I feel like we reached all of our goals. We took home two second places at nationals in kick and pom, in addition to the state accomplishments. I couldn’t be any happier with our season.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?

“Kylie Jenner. I would love to see what her day-to-day life is like.”

How did you inspire or show leadership to younger teammates?

“Always pushing through. I never wanted us to get too caught up on a bad performance and just wanted to keep us in a good mindset so we could do our best.”

Do you have a nickname or something a teammate called you during a performance?

“My coach joked around and sometimes called me Lorenzo. My teammates sometimes called me Laurie as a joke, but typically people just called me Lauren.”

Which teammate could you see on a dance show competition on national TV?

“Not a teammate, but coach Rodney.”

What would your dream job be once you graduate?

“I would love to be a high school or middle school English teacher.”

What are your hobbies?

“I love hanging out with friends or just watching Netflix at home.”

What is your favorite event ever attended?

“Lollapalooza, 2018, with my best friends.”

Favorite Dairy Queen item to order on the menu?

“Oreo Blizzard or a chocolate shake.”

What is your favorite type of music?

“Indie or rap.”

What three words describe you?

“Fun, friendly and caring.”

Smoothie or Coffee in the morning?

“Coffee.”

What is your favorite trip ever taken?

“Going to Germany with the GAPP program at school. It was the most amazing experience.”

What is the one song you liked to perform to?

“I loved dancing to our pom song this year. It was a mix of ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’ and ‘DNA’ by Rye Rye.”

Fruits or Vegetables?

“Fruits.”

How do you want to be remembered at Ashwaubenon High School?

“Hopefully, I am remembered as someone who was always caring and was just overall a good person.”

What was your favorite dance move in a competition?

“Although it was not the most fun thing to do, jumping into the splits was always kind of fun because the crowd’s reaction was always so entertaining.”

What was your favorite outfit or uniform to perform in?

“This year’s pom uniform. It was by far my favorite costume I ever got to wear.”

Talk about Coach Meinel and Coach Anderson?

“They were the best coaches I could’ve ever asked for. They taught me so many lessons in and outside of dance and I will forever be grateful for that. They are just the best and I can’t imagine spending these last four years on the team without them.”
