GREEN BAY – Berri West has been hired to coach the Green Bay Southwest girls’ basketball team.
She replaces Erin Barkley, who stepped down in April after three seasons.
West, a 2002 Southwest graduate and a former assistant for the Trojans, has spent the past three years as a varsity assistant at Seymour.
The Trojans went 12-11 last season, finishing fifth in the 10-team Fox River Classic Conference.
Southwest’s Jaddan Simmons, a 5-foot-9 point guard who recently verbally committed to play at Arizona State University, is one of the best players in the state and will return for her senior season.
