ASHWAUBENON-Blaise Maris and Cooper Morrison each scored three runs apiece as the Green Bay Booyah continued their winning ways by defeating the Fond du lac Dock Spiders by a final of 12-10 in a game played at Capital Credit Union Park with 1,835 in attendance.

With the victory on July 18, the Booyah have won seven straight games and have raised their record to a game above .500.

Will Saxton got the win for Green Bay pitching three innings giving up two runs.

Conor Dryer took the loss for Fond du lac relinquishing three runs and three hits in two innings.

Nine pitchers were used in a game that went over 4 hours in length.

Early on it didn’t appear that the Booyah would keep their winning streak intact.

The Dock Spiders scored a run in the top of the first and then grabbed a substantial lead in the top of the third after Tim Elko hit a three-run homer and Luke Robinson a solo shot to put Fond du lac up 5-0.

Fortunately, for the Booyah, Maris responded in the bottom of the third with a two-run dinger of his own to cut the lead to 5-2.

Green Bay then took control in the middle part of the game.

In the bottom of the fifth with the Booyah trailing 5-3, Morrison was hit by a pitch to open up the inning.

Chris Williams was walked, and Maris and Brady West connected on back-to-back singles to bring in two runs. A walk with bases loaded gave Green Bay their first lead of the game at 6-5.

With the score deadlocked at six apiece in the bottom of the sixth, Green Bay’s bats got hot once again.

With two outs, Ali LaPread , Maris, West and Nick Kreutzer were all miraculously walked in succession scoring LaPread who simply rounded the bases with ease.

Chase Hanson stepped in and blasted a single to right field to score two additional runs and give the Booyah a 9-6 lead.

After the Dock Spiders cut the margin to 9-8 late in the Northwoods clash, Green Bay extended their lead in the bottom of the eighth with three runs to take a 12-8 lead.

After a ninth inning homer by Kellen Sarver, the Booyah were able to settle down and only give up one additional run to win the 22 combined runs contest and remain undefeated since July 8.

Box Score:
