“We focused on the current match and not any other ones. We knew if we didn’t win the match at hand, the next one would not happen. We stayed determined, kept pushing and making plays when they needed to be made. This is what allowed us to get to the finals my junior and senior year.”

What teammate would you give a portion of your earnings to if you won the Wisconsin lottery?

“Grant Atwood, because he’s been there since day one. We have been doubles partners the last two seasons, and he’s a good friend.”

What was your most embarrassing moment in tennis?

“Hitting my teammate on a serve during a match.”

What was the hardest part about performing in a tennis match?

“The pressure would be the hardest part. Everyone who was watching expected so much from me. To be able to perform worried me every time I stepped foot on the court.”

Who was the quietest person on the team?

“Cole Leatherberry.”

Do you have a nickname?

“My nickname is ‘SteinBomb.’ It’s something that I used for my Xbox name – people now call me that.”

What is one thing that other teammates or coaches don’t know about you?

“I am an amateur/pro in men’s beach volleyball.”

What are your college aspirations?

What are your hobbies?

“Playing video games.”

What three words describe you?

“Funny, smart, creative.”

What are three tennis tournaments you’d love to attend anywhere in the world?

“French Open, Wimbledon and Australian Open.”

Who is your favorite ATP tennis player?

“Grigor Dimitrov, because he is Bulgarian. My mom has always made me watch him, so I grew to love him. He is a very good tennis player and is very humble in what he does. My mom is Bulgarian.”

Favorite shot in tennis?

“My favorite is a down-the-line winner. It’s a nice feeling hitting that hard shot to win the point.”

What are two things you’re going to miss about attending Ashwaubenon High School?

“Being with my friends every day and seeing the different teachers that I have grown close to.”
