ASHWAUBENON – A site plan for the Bellin Health cancer center at 1580 Commanche Ave. to build an addition of more than 11,000 square feet was approved Tuesday, June 18, by the Ashwaubenon Site Plan Review Committee.

Community Development Director Aaron Schuette said the addition will house a pharmacy and an infusion area.

He said it will be located to the west of the existing building along with an additional parking lot also to the west and located east of the vacated Clive Street that is now Bellin property.

Schuette said the building addition will use materials found in the existing structure, including red brick, architectural metal panels with concealed fasteners and storefront glazing.

He said a new privacy wall 6 feet high made of red brick will be built with an existing concrete privacy wall being removed for the addition.

Schuette said a condition for approval calls for a landscape plan to be submitted to Village Forester Tim Bauknecht.

New parking lot

Village President Mary Kardoskee, who chairs the committee, left the conference room to avoid a conflict of interest when Trustee Gary Paul presided over the meeting and the committee members approved a site plan for

constructing a new asphalt parking lot of more than 10,000 square feet on property she owns with her husband at 854 Morris Ave.

Schuette said the new lot would provide additional parking for the customers and employees of the adjacent multi-tenant building under the same ownership at 860 Morris Ave.

He said the remainder of the vacant parcel, approximately 20,000 square feet, will remain grass for the time being and be used for Lambeau Field event parking.

Schuette said the parcel would continue to have one driveway access onto Morris Avenue with curbing on the east, west and south sides of the parking lot.

Because the parcel is located in the Sports and Entertainment Zoning District, Schuette said the site plan will be forwarded for additional review and action by the Plan Commission and full village board.
