Senior Summer Picnic comes back to Green Isle Park

ALLOUEZ – Calling all those 50 years and older who want to eat, socialize with friends, and enjoy live music.

Allouez, Howard, and Suamico recreation departments will hold the second annual Senior Summer Picnic from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Green Isle Park in Allouez.

Attendees can spend a relaxing evening in the park, enjoy a picnic buffet of burgers, brats, and hot dogs and be entertained by live music from Talk of the Town.

Sponsored by Assisted Living by Hillcrest, there will also be door prizes given out to all who attend and raffle tickets being for sale.

Matt Hahn, recreation coordinator for the Village of Allouez, said last year’s event brought 50-60 attendees, and the same turnout, if not greater, is expected this year.

“This event brings communities together,” Hahn said. “It gets people to come out and socialize with others their age and just enjoy an evening outside.”

Tickets are $17 per person, and Allouez, Howard, or Suamico residency is not required.

All individuals who are 50 years and older are welcome, Hahn said.

For an accurate food count, organizers ask the public to register no later than Friday, June 21.

Tickets are limited, so register online at allouez.recdesk.com or call 920-448-2804 to reserve a spot.
