Restaurant coming to Centennial Centre in Hobart

HOBART – Following closed session, the Hobart Village Board unanimously gave its preliminary approval Tuesday, June 18, to a development agreement with HCD Investments, which will bring the first restaurant to Centennial Centre in Hobart in 2020.

Tentatively called D2 Centennial Circle, the restaurant will be located at the intersection of North Overland Road and Larsen Orchard Parkway.

Ground is expected to be broken this fall on the building, which will cover nearly 14,000 square feet on a nearly four-acre parcel.

“Since the first day I arrived in Hobart, the calls for a restaurant in Hobart have been constant, and they have not been ignored,” said Village Administrator Aaron Kramer. “After a series of negotiations with several interested parties, the pieces came together when Bayland Buildings, a company that knows how to match clients and communities in some very beneficial partnerships, brought Michael and Howard to my office earlier this year, and this project took shape. We were looking for the right mixture of experience, financial ability, commitment to quality and a belief that growing in Hobart makes sense – and we found that with this group. We look forward to the ground breaking, and then enjoying some great food in the very near future.”
