FRCC boys’ tennis honors

BROWN COUNTY – The Fox River Classic Conference boys’ tennis awards were recently announced after the completion of the season.

Green Bay Southwest’s Johnny Zakowski won a WIAA Division 1 state title at No. 1 singles, while De Pere’s Nathan Balthazor finished runner-up.

Notre Dame Academy won the WIAA Division 2 team state title.

First team: Nathan Balthazor (DP – No. 1 singles), Johnny Zakowski (SW – No. 1 singles), Myles Krzewinski (ND – No. 1 singles), Jayden Wartman (SW – No. 2 singles), Tommy Zakowski (ND – No. 3 singles), Ryan Schram (ND – No. 4 singles), William Schneider/Alan Schneider (ND – No. 1 doubles), Josh Janssen/Christian Remington (ND – No. 2 doubles), William Templeton/Henry Parish (ND – No. 3 doubles).

Second team: Jacob Hanson (ASH – No. 1 singles), JV Steckart (ND – No. 2 singles), Calvin Hunt (DP – No. 3 singles), Warren Mangum (DP – No. 4 singles), David Vandenberg/Jackson Harpt (DP – No. 1 doubles), Ben Belleau/Sam Champeau (DP – No. 2 doubles), Brett Daniels/Tyler Graf (DP – No. 3 doubles).

Honorable mention: Hayder Alkhalisy (DP – No. 2 singles), Sam Lokken (ASH – No. 3 singles).

Singles player of the year: Balthazor (DP).

Doubles team of the year: William Schneider/Alan Schneider (ND).

Coach of the year: Randy Nelson (SW).
