Congratulations – you are the first senior spotlight for The Press Times from Pulaski High School.

“I am truly honored – there are many deserving people. It’s very humbling.”

Tell me about your family.

“I have a younger sister named Skyler who is a sophomore, my mom grew up in Oconto Falls and my dad in Pulaski.”

Do you come from a sports family?

“Skyler plays volleyball, basketball and softball, and my mom played softball.”

You also played football and basketball. Bay Port head football coach Gary Westerman said playing Pulaski is like going to the dentist – you don’t like doing it.

“We embrace that motto. We are a tough team and nobody really likes to play us. We played our hardest to make the opposition play its hardest.”

What was it like playing three sports year round?

“Playing three sports was difficult. It requires dedication and a love for competition, but it also taught me time management and has helped me grow with my values. I’ve become a better person because of sports.”

When did you start golfing?

“I didn’t start golfing until I was in the eighth grade. My uncle and cousin lived right next to a golf course, so they took me – I fell in love with it.”

How far can you drive it?

“About 300 yards. Where it goes, I’m not sure. It might go really far right or left.”

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

“My long game off the tee is a strength, and my short game needs work.”

What’s the craziest golf shot you’ve ever made?

“At Brown County last year on hole No. 2 [par 5], I hit an okay drive to the middle of the fairway. I pulled my hybrid out and drove it over the green. I was about 2 inches away from making an eagle putt, but I tapped in for a birdie.”

How close have you come to a hole in one?

“This year at Oneida, I was about a foot away.”

What is your favorite local course?

“I like the Championship Course at Thornberry Creek.”

What’s it like golfing for your coach Andrew Gutzman?

“It’s exactly what I want. He took over my sophomore year. Since then, I saw my game take off. He taught me things I never thought of doing in order to fix where my ball was going.”

Do you have a most memorable sports moment?

“Beating River Falls this past season in the football playoffs. We had a long bus ride and nobody expected us to win.”

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

“This past basketball season, I lost my shoe and proceeded to run down the court with my shoe in one hand – I had to get back on defense.”

What is something about you most people wouldn’t know?

“I live on a farm – that’s where my love of the outdoors and my work ethic has come from. My dad has been farming his whole life. We probably have 100 cows.”

What three words best describe you?

“Dedicated, hard-working, selflessness.”

How will Logan Lukasik be remembered at Pulaski?

“I want to be remembered as making everyone on my team better and being a dedicated teammate.”

Sunrise or sunset?

“Sunrise.”

Carpet or hardwood?

“Hardwood.”

Spring or fall golf?

“Fall.”

Strawberries or blueberries?

“Strawberries.”

Fruits or veggies?

“Fruits.”
