Booyah looking for part-time staff

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Booyah and Green Bay Voyageurs are looking for part-time staff to work at Capital Credit Union Park for both teams.

There at 36 Booyah home baseball games and 10 home soccer games.

Employees of all ages are being sought who want to have a fun summer job working at a beautiful, brand-new facility in the stadium district of Ashwaubenon.

The Green Bay Booyah/Voyageurs will be hosting one final hiring date Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Open interviews will be held at 2325 Holmgren Way Suite 110.

Below is a list of game-day positions along with a short description of the duties and responsibilities pertinent to each role.

Seasonal/part-time roles

Mascot – This individual is responsible for creating the ultimate fan experience.

From community appearances to interactions during games, the mascot will be the face of the Booyah.

The mascot must be fun-loving, energetic and available for both games in-season and day-time appearances out-of-season starting as soon as possible.

Game-day positions

Beer pourers – Beer pourers are expected to have great customer service skills and follow proper alcohol-awareness policies.

Cash handling and being able to work in a fast-paced environment are major qualifications for this position.

Retail specialist – Assist Booyah fans in finding the apparel or memorabilia of their choice in the Booyah team store.

Retail specialists must provide a positive experience for the fans, while efficiently entering the cash and credit transactions.

Retail associate – Assist in the stocking and replenishing of Booyah merchandise and memorabilia.

Retail associates help with inventorying merchandise and keeping the team store clean and orderly on game days.

Concessions (cashiers) – Cashiers are the face of the Booyah food and beverage experience.

They are expected to greet and accommodate customers with a positive attitude and a smile.

Cashiers are responsible for managing cash and credit transactions at each of our concessions areas while processing accurate and timely concessions orders.

Interested candidates should have a positive attitude, outgoing personality and work well in group settings.

Concessions (cook) – Responsible for ensuring Booyah fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner.

Grillers will follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines designed to create a consistent, quality product.

Interested candidates should have experience in a kitchen environment and be able to work in a fast-paced, hot environment.

Concessions (runners) – Runners serve as liaisons between the grillers and cashiers to fill the customer’s order.

Their focus is on efficiently receiving the customer’s order from the cashier and working with the grillers to produce the products that they need to complete the order.

Runners are accessible to customers and should be helpful and responsive to their wants, needs and concerns.

Interested candidates should have a positive attitude and work well in group settings.

Buffet captain – Oversees the buffets in the different hospitality locations around the ballpark.

Makes sure that warmers are on and hot, pans are flipped when nearing empty, the buffet is clean and organized, utensils and condiments are filled and the needs of customers are met.

Hospitality servers – Provide service to the suite customers, including but not limited to: Preparing the suite with food and beverage for the event, maintaining suite cleanliness and providing a positive experience for all members of the group.

Suite servers must be at least 18 years of age and have an outgoing personality.

Hospitality runners – Provide food and beverage to the suites; must bring dishes to different locations throughout the ballpark in a timely manner; must be willing to lift and carry hot pans up stairs.

Warehouse – Responsible for the movement of product throughout the ballpark as well as helping keep a clean and organized work environment.

Warehouse staff consists of a keg moving crew (18 or older) who are responsible for changing and moving beer kegs to keep areas stocked throughout the duration of the event.

Other warehouse staff will be responsible for the transfer of non-beer related items from storage locations to various concessions locations throughout the park.

This position requires some heavy lifting.

Labor crew member – Labor crew employees are expected to have a positive attitude, work well in group settings, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and do heavy lifting and moving.

The labor crew will be involved in event set up, including but not limited to: flipping event spaces and changing out tables, cleaning, setting up stages and other platforms, putting up walls and more.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Usher – Directs fans to their seats and answers any questions they may have.

This requires an increased knowledge of the Duck Pond and its various areas, and a willingness to inquire with full-time staff if needed to ensure our fans are receiving the correct information in a kind/timely manner.

Ushers are also responsible for maintaining an orderly parking system.

Parking attendant – Responsible for guiding guests into parking spots within the Booyah lot, ensuring safe entrance into the parking lots and managing the flow of traffic.

Kids Zone attendant – Responsible for attending to the Kids Zone games.

Must have a friendly and positive attitude and be good with kids and parents.

Requires the ability to take and count tickets accurately, handle cash, handle prizes and assist in the setup and tear down of the Kids Zone every game day.

Dishwashers – Responsible for washing, sanitizing and storing all dishes and utensils according to proper procedures explained by the concessions manager.

Additionally, dishwashers will have a role in assisting the concessions managers and grillers when there are no dishes.

Part-time camera operators (volunteer position)

Each summer, the Booyah stream all 36 home games online using a four-camera setup.

The team is in need of 15 to 20 operators to help work the two cameras located on the first and third-base lines.

This is a great opportunity for those in either high school or college to gain some valuable experience shooting a live sporting event while using top-of-the-line video cameras on a tripod.

These positions are unpaid but look great on resumes.

Typically, camera operators report to Capital Credit Union Park 30 to 45 minutes prior to that night’s first pitch and are free to leave once the game ends.
